With last year’s Mitchell Street Improvement Project completed, construction on the road is now moving into Haring Township.
Beginning July 26, the pavement covering the stretch of Mitchell Street between 13th Street and just north of Boon Road will be torn up and replaced. The project is estimated to cost about two million dollars, and is scheduled to run through mid-October.
MDOT plans to work on the project 24 hours a day, six days a week. While renovations to Mitchell Street are underway, MDOT plans to leave at least one lane of traffic in each direction open at all times.
