A storm assessment team from the National Weather Service visited Cadillac Monday, and confirmed that an EF0 tornado touched down briefly in southern Wexford County Sunday evening. The weak twister touched down at 6:56 p.m. just south of M-115 near U.S. 131. It was short-lived…only staying on the ground about two minutes and traveling around 100 yards before lifting. It did tear part of the roof from an out building at the former Stock Building Supply, but no one was hurt. NWS officials estimate the highest winds in the weak twister at 65 miles per hour.
