The Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency has announced a series of free workshops in Cadillac to help local residents with everything ranging from budgeting basics to home ownership. The “Setting Financial Goals” workshop is scheduled for Monday, January 11th from 5:30 until 8:30. A credit workshop will happen on Friday, January 15th from 1:30 until 3, with a session on budgeting basics on Thursday, January 21st. A two-night homebuyer’s education workshop will cover the basics, including options for low and moderate income families, on January 25th and 27th from 5:30 until 8:30 both nights. The credit and budgeting workshops will be held at the Michigan Works Office, 401 Lake Street, while the “Setting Financial Goals” and “Homebuyers’ Education” sessions will happen at 1640 Marty Paul.
