Missaukee County has a new recycling center, and a recent event in Lake City showed off the new facility.

An open house was held on May 2; from 9am until 1pm visitors bringing in their recyclables had a chance to participate in numerous family-friendly activities. A nature festival also took place during the Recycling Center’s “kick-off” event; that festival included a hike along the foot trails near West Sanborn Road, plenty of food, building activities and much more.
